Our team

Today, the life of the association is based on the daily work of the permanent team and the voluntary work of the members of the Board of Directors, all of whom are deeply committed in their daily lives.

The team when the association was created

Permanent staff

Gildas Véret

Engineer (Mines de Paris), main author of the workshop and Director

I’m a permaculturist and engineer with a passion for everything that can enable us to live fulfilled lives while preserving life and peace. I am resolutely convinced that we can all turn our lives upside down and try to change the world to comply with the Paris Agreement. Broadly debating actions that make sense and have a real impact led me to publish “Sauvons le climat, 10 actions pour entrer en résistance climatique” and then to create Designing our low-carbon lives. Two years of prototyping and collective work brought it to its current maturity.

I devote most of my time to the climate emergency. I believe the “solutions” are known and technically accessible (see the 149 proposals of the French Citizens’ Climate Convention). To preserve the quality of life on Earth, I believe we essentially need to transform the social norm. That’s why I want to develop the use of Designing our low-carbon lives.

I am now the association’s Pedagogical Director.

Clara Iehl

Business development and partnerships officer

I began my career in “responsible” communications, working in the field of sustainable development and CSR. With a desire to better understand the issues at stake, and convinced of the importance of raising awareness, I became an animator for the Climate Fresk and then a trainer for animators. To strengthen my knowledge of climate and biodiversity issues, I took part in a number of workshops… and that’s when I discovered Designing our low-carbon lives. I took a year’s break to get involved in positive-impact projects, including makesense and the Fresque Agri’Alim, to accelerate its deployment. In 2022, I moved to Tours and was delighted to cross paths again with Our low-carbon lives! My role in the team is to create links with our ecosystem and disseminate our workshop to all organizations.

What do I believe in? Almost everyone has the facts. The challenge is to imagine a desirable future without fossil fuels. That’s precisely what I like about Designing our low-carbon lives: the systemic approach (we’re not just talking about carbon!) and the projection into new imaginary worlds.

Camille Nos vies bas carbone

Camille Chiaradia

Communications Officer

Before I met the Nos vies bas carbone team, I worked in marketing for a software company. After 7 years working in digital, applying ever more innovative American marketing methods and concepts for ever greater performance, I realized that I needed to give meaning to my job.

After a lot of soul-searching, the ecological transition seemed to me to be the most sensible way forward, given the urgency of the situation!

When I joined the team, I was in the middle of my ecological transition: I asked myself a thousand questions and took action on a daily basis to gradually reduce my carbon footprint. I’m living this transition without feeling frustrated and finding new sources of happiness. This is the message I want to get across in my new mission.

Wendy Wierzchowski

Development Director

Has humanity lost its survival instinct?

How much of our time – and our resources – do we devote to activities linked to the preservation of living things?

The answers that emerge from observing our society have helped me to find the meaning of my life: to assume the small role and great responsibilities of a link in the great chain of humanity.

This realization has led me to transform my personal, family and professional life accordingly and … happily!

Knowing the phenomena at work is not enough to take action on the scale required. We need something more…

Our workshops respond precisely to this pressing need to accompany individuals and organizations in an unprecedented process of transformation: that of slowing down.

Within the association, I work to understand the needs of the organizations that call on us, on the one hand, and to deliver on the commitments made, on the other.

On a daily basis, I try to share as many Good Vibes as possible, I travel by bike and I eat a Paris-Brest when I come across one that looks delicious.

Baptiste Nos vies bas carbone

Baptiste Jorant

Assistant to the Pedagological Director – Forest program manager

‘m passionate about understanding the world, and passing on this knowledge to put it at the service of society and people. My favorite subjects: life sciences, history of science and technology, prehistory, botany…

I have developed this taste professionally by becoming a scientific mediator and creator of science-related training courses. I practice on my loved ones, improvising observation walks, or testing my latest inventions on them!

The growing impact of environmental crises on our societies, and on the living beings that surround us and on which we depend, prompted me to get involved in the ecological transition. Today, I’m involved in educational development at Nos vies bas carbone. I take people into the forest to help them discover the beauty and complexity of this ecosystem: nurturing our relationship with living things is a good starting point for changing the world!

Ah, and my training: I went to engineering school (Supaéro), did a master’s degree in the history of science and technology, took a permaculturalist course, and did lots of internships and small training courses to feed my curiosity.

Rebecca Nos vies bas carbone

Rebecca Peat

Development Manager

Freshly graduated with a Master’s degree in management and international trade, my career path led me to specialize in sustainable development management, particularly during my time at Lund University in Sweden (the same university as Timothée Parrique!). Passionate and committed, I devoted my dissertation to the circular economy in the fashion industry, a subject as captivating as it was frightening.

I’ve long known that I needed a job with meaning, and for me, meaning is found in continuous learning, raising awareness and helping people take action. In search of that space where I truly feel I belong, I joined Our sustainable lives. Every day, I’m inspired by the team’s dynamics and the association’s systemic vision.

Beyond my commitments, I enjoy immersing myself in somewhat dubious teenage thrillers, wandering around the market for fresh vegetables and trying out recipes that aren’t always very successful. Every day I work a little harder to live in harmony with my deepest convictions.

Anne-Gwénolée TU

Assistant manager

My ecological awareness began quietly. Little by little, it grew to the point where I decided to leave Paris.

When I arrived in Tours, I set up a business, a space to let it grow and share the joy it brings me, to be an actor in the transition but also to encourage the more timid.

After 7 years, I too wanted to surround myself with people with whom I shared the same sensibility and who could nourish me with their experience and expertise. This is the path that led me to the association.

On a day-to-day basis, I’m easily amazed, I’m a gourmet but I don’t like bananas, I love the Loire river and books, which I arrange by theme and alphabetic order (help!).

Alice Nos vies bas carbone

Alice JEHANNE

Communication and community animation intern

Thank you to the Our sustainable lives team for welcoming me for this six-month internship as part of a committed, inquisitive and humane team.

As a student at Excelia business school, a school that is committed to the ecological transition, I wanted to get my hands dirty by applying for this internship position in communications and community animation.

I like drawing, playing music and cats 🐱

Members of the Board of Directors

Benjamin Chevrol

Engineer (INSA Lyon) – specialized in Energy

Faced with a planet in danger of breaking into a thousand pieces (a quote from my 5-year-old son…), doing everything in my power to reach the climate tipping point as quickly as possible seemed obvious to me. And since it’s not always easy to get involved, get moving, get involved, and get a strong political message across, running Designing our sustainable lives workshops turned out to be a great way for me to do just that.

As someone who is personally and professionally committed to environmental issues, I’m happy to continue my involvement and investment in the Our sustainable lives association to help reach as many people as possible!

I’m proud to be one of the association’s founders and a member of its Board of Directors.

Aline Nos vies bas carbone

Aline Vue

Local civil servant and elected representative

I’ve been involved in climate resistance for a number of years, in the interests of global justice and solidarity. The encounters and commitment of a small group of people to simply enable life on Earth led me to follow the adventure of the Our sustainable lives association. I’m particularly committed to contributing to the deployment of local dynamics throughout France, to raise awareness and inform as widely as possible, and to bring about essential and accessible changes in behavior and society.

Joining the Board of Directors of Our sustainable lives was an obvious way to pursue my daily investment in a more just, sober, desirable, joyful, convivial and supportive society.

Yann Le Béguec Nos vies bas carbone

Yann Le Béguec

Individual and organisational development coach based on living principles

Trained as an engineer, I appreciate the thought-provoking nature of the Designing our sustainable lives workshop cards. Having been involved in societal and environmental change since 2009, I’m delighted to be able to contribute to the association with all the heart and skills I can muster.

On a personal level, I’m a keen explorer of new ways of living to keep the planet habitable for as many human and non-human beings as possible.

As director of another association that promotes peer-to-peer cooperation, I’m keen to contribute my skills in shared governance, ethical leadership and anything else that can have a positive collective impact to help Our sustainable lives achieve its mission.

Alexandre Limanton Nos vies bas carbone

Alexandre Limanton

Energy-Climate Project Manager

Ever since I discovered the various environmental crises that threaten us, I’ve been involved as an activist in several associations to share the urgent need for action with as many people as possible. My optimistic nature enables me to continue talking about climate and the environment on a daily basis, and to try to change the habits of those around me.

Professionally, I work for the Virage Énergie association, which promotes energy transition through sobriety. I particularly enjoy talking to local residents and elected representatives about ways of putting the transition into words.

I’m delighted to be joining the board of directors of Our Sustainable Lives to continue promoting the ideal of a just and happy transition.

Nora Müller

Transitions Coach, Facilitator, Mediator

I’m a coach, mediator and trainer-facilitator. “How do we face the world today without going crazy? Hope through action”, the subtitle of Joanna Macy’s book, sums up my questioning and my commitment. As a mother of two little boys, I facilitate The Work that Reconnects and ecopsychology workshops for organizations and individuals. In addition, within the consulting firm AGAPAE, I accompany individuals, groups and organizations on their transition paths, from ecological awareness to issues of living and working together (executive training and coaching, decision-making, shared governance, conflict management…). I live on an experimental agro-forestry farm in southern Morvan.
Designing our sustainable lives is the most powerful tool I’ve come across so far to quickly and clearly raise awareness of what’s at stake and what’s needed. I’m delighted to have joined the board of directors and be part of the movement.

Raphaël Mercey Nos vies bas carbone

Raphaël Mercey

I’m convinced that social change won’t happen without citizens.
Of all the tools I use, I find the Designing our sustainable lives kit to be the most effective in raising the energy-climate-economy-decarbonation issue and tackling the triangle of inaction. Since its creation, I’ve used it whenever I’ve had the chance, in front of elected representatives, associations, network heads, citizens…

My awareness of “energy-climate-limits-planet” began in 2002, as a doctoral student with access to international scientific publications. A master’s degree in economics in 2009 finally convinced me (economic growth versus finite resources). In 2016, I joined forces with a group in Vendôme (41) to create the region’s first citizen-owned cooperative for the production of renewable energy. Since then, I’ve been working with the association Energie partagée in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region. I am also involved on a voluntary basis in other regional structures: Enercoop, Coalition climat, Agence régionale énergie et climat…
